Comment 1: Next month’s challenge should include doing 1 different flylady suggestion per day and recording it on the blog. I’ll make a note of this in challenges.

Comment 2: Next month’s challenge should be 26 lengths of the 20m pool per day (just over half a km per day).

Fruit: Banana. Blueberries.

Dinner: Soup with cream and cheese. Mushroom omelette with salad and condiments.

Snack: Chocolate biscuit.

The Tasting (Thursday)

Breakfast: Mackerel with one slice of buttered toast.

Lunch: Pork salad sandwich.

Snacks: Marshmallow. Chocolate biscuit. Greek delights.

Drinks: Teas. Coffees. Hot chocolate.

Alcohol: Champagne. Lush wine at The Tasting in Reading. Large glass of port. Glass of white wine at Bills. Brandies at home.

Dinner: Shared a tapas board with BSS at The Tastings (lovely). Tasty chicken and leek pie at Sweeney Todd’s.

Wednesday

Comment 1: I’m going to count how many lengths I do per 15 minute segment in the pool tonight. This will help me work out how many lengths to set for next month’s challenge.

Comment 2: When giving myself a reward, I should try to avoid food awards.

Snack: Salted caramel bar from the Farm Shop as a reward for something. Lot of Greek sweets like Turkish Delight. 2 more heroes.

Fruit: Banana. Grapefruit.

Dinner: Beef salad sandwich.

More snacking: getting sandwich ready for tomorrow.

Swim. First 15 minutes – 24 lengths. Second 15 minutes – 22 lengths. Third 15 minutes – again 22 lengths. 1360 metres.

Tuesday

Breakfast: Porridge with honey.

Lunch: Pork salad sandwich.

Snacks: Mini chocolate brownie. Lots of Heroes. Beef jerky.

Drinks: Teas. Coffees.

Dinner: Steak with broccoli and potatoes.

Alcohol: Shared a bottle of champagne with Ben. 500ml Asahi beer.

Comment 1: Should have left the sweets for Halloween in the car.

Comment 2: Need to look at dresses for the Christmas Party to start motivating me to eat less.

Cake (Monday)

Breakfast: Porridge with honey and seeds.

Lunch: Pork salad sandwich with mayo and horseradish.

Drinks: Teas. Coffees. Cordial.

Snack: Cake. Got fresh cake from the cake area several times.

Dinner: Buttered toast + 2 eggs + more bread and some mackerel.

Comment 1: Drink hot water OR ANYTHING except cake.

Comment 2: When I’ve drunk all the herbal teas I’ve got lying around, I’ll treat myself to another Tea Pigs mixed box.

Snack: small amounts of tomorrow’s lunch whilst preparing it.

Gym: 15 minute swim.

Hot chocolate.

Comment 1: Watch swimming videos as feel I’m still doing it all wrong.

Comment 2: Maybe get a diet book. The Greek Doctors one looks good.

White Mischief – Cabaret in London

Comment 1: I’ve changed my challenge reward to a new bottle¬† of 16 year Lagavulin. I owe 53 minutes gym time, but everything else is up to date.

Comment 2: I budget monthly, but I can start looking but not buying gym clothes. Something nice might not be expensive. Would be good just for once to go to a class (they are included in my membership).

Pre-swim snack: Small amount of mackerel.

Gym: 53 minute swim.

Lunch: Prawn cocktail baguette.

Drinks: Coffee. Cordial.

Snack: Some more mackerel.

Dinner: 3 boiled eggs and 2 slices of buttered toast.

Alcohol: Gin with tonic and pomegranate cordial. Gin and tonic. Bottle of Kopparberg Naked Apple. 100ml of Jim Bean. Gin and tonic.

Snacks: Murray mint. Small amount of Thai curry.

Cabaret done right is amazing. It’s hard to decide what was best at White Mischief.¬† Mr Blankson and Rod Laver with Alexandra Hofgartner are the most memorable.
