I followed a Tesco recipe for baked sea bream. The fish was lovely, but the potatoes and tomatoes were very under-cooked. I took the fish out and tried to bake the rest separately, but in the meantime the fish got cold.
I’m going to try this again, but will cook/fry the ingredients separately.
I was 10st7 today. I realise progress is harder now I’ve got less weight to lose. I’m going to cook more salmon in foil and other fish with veg dishes.
At my weekly weigh-in this morning I was 10st6. I’ve given up sugar until my birthday (except naturally occurring & in alcohol), but I might give it up for good as not missing it and the results are so good.
I’m thinking of making Hugh’s lunch box sardine niçoise sometime this week. I’ve got some peppered mackerel in the fridge and there are some potatoes left over from the other night.
Made Hugh’s pollack soup on Friday but with basa fillets as Tesco didn’t have pollack. I really enjoyed making it. Had it for lunch today – still really lovely. Will make Hugh’s Roast shoulder of lamb with merguez spices next.
I’ve given up added sugar until my birthday. Naturally occurring sugar (e.g. fruit) is fine. Honey is not as I know I’ll start ladling honey into everything. This rule does not apply to alcohol.
